N.D./B.Tech./B.Sc.Food Sc/Chem.;(Flavour Creation);Foodstuffs, Cosmetics, & Disinfectants Act;GC/ MS Operation/Analysis. 5 Years of experience of savoury flavour creation/development/exp. & understanding of African market/related categories/Regulatory Affairs. Responsible for the development (creation and matching) of new savoury flavours to enhance existing product range/provide technical direction & expertise during savoury product development. Manage multiple projects to meet deadlines as set out in briefs. Communicate effectively with the team and other stakeholders. Collaborate with the product development team. Snr person with 8+ years exp. in analysing chemical composition of flavours & fragrances, understand different columns used in GC-MS/operate/maintain GC-MS & Flame Ionisation Detector (FID),incl. calibration/consumables/troubleshooting/interpret chromatograms/identify compounds /understand flavour/fragrance chemistry/raw materials/their properties. Able to give meticulous attention to detail/be able to troubleshoot instrument issues/solve analytical problems/have communication/report writing skills/effectively liaise technical teams/present findings. Must extract/purify/prepare flavour/ fragrance samples for GC-MS analysis, incl. solvent extraction/solid phase microextraction (SPME)/analyse chromatograms/ identify and quantify volatile compounds/interpret spectral data using spectral libraries and retention indices.
