Analyt Chemistry; Comp.Lit. Eight (8) + years exp in analysing chemical
composition of fragrances, understand different columns used in GC-MS/operate/maintain
GC-MS & Flame Ionisation Detector (FID),incl. calibration/consumables/troubleshooting/interpret
chromatograms/identify compounds /understand flavour/fragrance chemistry/raw
materials/their properties. Able to give meticulous attention to detail/be
able to troubleshoot instrument issues/ solve analytical problems/have
communication/report writing skills/effectively liaise technical teams/present
findings. Must extract/purify/prepare flavour/ fragrance samples for
GC-MS analysis, incl. solvent extraction/solid phase microextraction
(SPME)/analyse chromatograms/ identify and quantify volatile compounds/interpret
spectral data using spectral libraries and retention indices. Ensure
all laboratory practices adhere to safety guidelines and quality standards.
Work closely with technical teams/ Flavourists/Perfumers/provide rational
results/analytical support for product development/quality control/
regulatory compliance. Prepare detailed reports on analytical findings/
document procedures/maintain accurate records of all analyses. Midrand.

test samples/perform daily lab. duties/maintain analyt equipment/GC-FID/GC-MS/GC-MS-MS/balances/(non)routine
tasks/sample analysis/data interpretation/reporting test results.
Must train Lab staff/observe GLP/GMP/SHE requirements/oversee cataloguing/formulation/calibration/retention

analysis/quality control of chemicals/essential oils/fragrances/aromas/flavours
according to ISO 9001/admin of SOP /documentation. Attention to detail/think
on your feet/have good communication skills. Will be liaison between
suppliers/production/clients/accounts/mngt. Responsible for keeping
records of client specs/formulations/ BOM for each final product required;
receiving/recording/ testing/ incoming/outgoing samples of raw materials/
final products/compare to COA received/recording of test results/issue
of COA to clients; testing of ingredients/ chemicals/essential oils
using specific gravity/density/refractometer, working according to
sampling SOPs/ISO 9001:2015/GLP. If non-conformances/do root cause
analysis/prepare corrective action/preventive action reports/ liaise
with suppliers re.NC/ensure RTM/replacement stock received. If final
product NC, liaise GC-MS Analyst/ensure RCA/CAPA. On the production
floor, ensure correct chemicals used according to client specs/correct
processing parameters/GMP/SHE/incident investigation/reporting/internal
auditing/ISO 9001 admin.& documentation. Ensure sampling frequency
on ± 25 manufacturing batches per day/approve/release to distribution
